Mr. Deal was born near Peru July 1st, 1913. He had been employed at the Wabash Railway shops. He was a member of the First Brethren church. Survivors besides the parents are a son, Clarence Melvin of Indianapolis, two brothers, Raymond and Harold at home. Mrs. Herman Williams of Denver, Mrs. Herbert Thomas, Mrs. Donald Leach and Lois Deal all of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. George Collins of Peru.
The funeral was held in the First Brethren Church of Peru at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. S. M. Whetstone officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Hope cemetery.
