Elilzabeth attended Shankletown Elementary School and graduated from Logan High School. Early in life she joined the United House of Prayer for all People of Concord, NC under the leadership of it's founder Bishop C.M. Grace and remained a faithful member under the leadership of every successor Bishop McCullough, Bishop Madison, and Bishop Bailey. She was most proud of all her works in the house of Prayer. She was of infinite natural talent and spiritual gifts. As a young woman she moved north first to New York and then to Philadelphia where she settled and cared for her family and started a career. She retired after working over 30 years for the commonwealth of the state of Pennsylvania. She served nearly as long as cabinet secretary of the United house of Prayer for all People in West Philadelphia where she also served on the Queen Board. She spent her spare time traveling by cruise lines, plane, train, bus or car. She enjoyed life to the fullest and for her that definitely included attending as many Annual Convocations, band competitions, and other House of Prayer events in as many States as she could.

Preceded in death former husband James Clark, son Robert Wilford Clark, her brother Dave Lloyd Ferby and her sisters Bobbie jean Lea and Billie Ruth Pharr and two special friends Scott and Savannah Caldwell.
