Gene Lewis, 73, of Waynesburg passed away Thursday, August 30th, 2007 in Lincoln County. The son of the late Harvey & Ella Powell Lewis he was born Thursday, March 22nd, 1934 in Clay County, Kentucky. Gene was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Rowland Lewis; two sons Eddie Gene (Linda) Lewis of Waynesburg, Sonny Lewis of Waynesburg; a brother Gerald (Iva) Lewis of Stanford; two sisters, Jackie (Harvey) Doss of Bryantsville, Cleo Miracle of Davistown, Ky; three grandchildren Brady, Evan & Jacob Lewis; and three great-grandchildren Christopher, Jordan & Trevor Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, September 2nd 2007 at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home, Waynesburg with Chaplin Gary Story officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 til 9 pm on Saturday, September 1st, 2007 at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home.
