Mrs. Ferrell, a daughter of William M. Gidley and Nancy Pethtel Gidley, was born June 2, 1871, in Greene County, and spent the greater part of her life in New Freeport. She was a member of the Brethren Church at Allepo.
She was married Oct. 22, 1890, to Alonzo Ferrell, who died in September, 1940.
Surviving are two sons, William E. Ferrell, Pittsburgh, and Harry Gidley, Charleston, W. Va.; three grandchildren, Helen Ferrell, at home; Hazel Ferrell, in the WAVES, and Earl Ferrell, in the Army and overseas, and one sister, Mrs. W. B. Parshall, of Pittsburgh.
One great-grandson, George R. Gidley, is deceased.
