Passed away Tuesday at Brownsburg Meadows.

Daughter of Walter James Cornwell and Ellen Amanda Hamilton Cornwell.
Married Loran K. Rutledge April 24, 1948 in Darlington. He passed away Oct. 2, 2007.
Survivors include daughter Candy (Bob) Hodges; grandson Chad (Angela) Hodges; granddaughter Cara (Jon) Livingston; great-grandsons Aiden Hodges and Ian Livingston; great-granddaughter Chloe Livingston.
She was also preceded in death by brother James Pierce Cornwell and sisters Margueritte Yelensky, Betty C. Laughlin, Josephine Fleetwood and Maxine Shinniman.

Graduate of Cerro Gordo High School.

She worked many years at Wabash College as a switchboard operator in the campus center and later at Coast to Coast, retiring from there.

Member of First United Methodist Church and Republican Women.

She liked to read and crochet.

For many years, she helped her husband, who was the local VA service officer, with activities in support of local veterans.

Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery North.

Burkhart Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.

Juanita adopted her cats from the local shelter and the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, Crawfordsville.
