Educator. Estefanía Castañeda Núñez de Cáceres, known as Estefanía Castañeda, was a teacher and founder of preschool or kindergarten schools in Mexico, writing the first regulation with which these schools functioned. Her search for the proper education of young children led her to tour schools across Mexico, as well as in the United States and other countries. He participated in congresses, sometimes representing the Mexican government. She was buried in the Tepeyac Cemetery, where educators from the Federal District raised a monument in her memory. Later his remains were transferred to a monument in his hometown, and then on June 29, 2000 to the Rotonda de los Tamaulipecos Ilustres.
