Jesse Fisk 21 Born Ohio, Residence Abingdon, Enlisted 25 July 1862, Mustered 20 August 1862 Company D 19th Iowa Infantry, Promoted to 6th Corporal 1 June 1864, Promoted to 5th Corporal 1 Sept 1864, Wounded and leg amputated 29 Mar 1865 at Spanish Fort, Alabama, Discharged 10 July 1865 at Mobile, Alabama.

Mr. Jesse Fisk who was taken to Omaha a few days ago, died Sunday. His body will be brought here for burial. Mr. Fisk was an old soldier. He lay sick for several weeks at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mary Christy, but on the arrival of his children, it was thought best to take him to his own home, but death came soon to release him.
