William Beckley, when 23 years old, enlisted on 10/30/1862 at Cannon City, Rice Co., MN as a Private and mustered into "H" Co. MN 1st Cavalry. He died of disease on 12/15/1862 (estimated day of death) at St. Peter, MN.
