Veronica Schreibvogel, 95, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.

She was born Oct. 27, 1911, in Marienthal, to Frank and Elizabeth Urban Meier.

A lifetime resident of Finney County, Mrs. Schrei¬­bvogel was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Our Lady of Perpetual Help No. 781, all in Garden City. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and crocheting.

On May 12, 1931, she married Wendoline J. "Len" Schreibvogel in Garden City. He died March 1, 1991. She also was preceded in death by two daughters, Lorraine Horning and Verna Lee Roth; four sisters, Vivian Bayer, Milicent Douglas, Philomena Witman and Geraldine Stoecklein; and a brother, Julius Meier.

Survivors include a sister, Lasta Schreibvogel of Garden City; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Daughters of Isabella rosary will be 7 tonight at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Garden City, with the Rev. Colin Boor officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
