Frances Ann Dalby Holt was born to Ben Mack and Cora Nell (Nevil) Dalby in San Antonio, Texas. She married Marian Kenneth Holt on 04 June 1946 in Rodessa, Louisiana and they were married sixty years before he passed away.

She is survived by sons K. Paul Holt and wife Donna G. Miller of Waco, Texas, and Alex Holt, Sr., of Atlanta, Texas; and grandson Alex “Jacin” Holt, Jr. of Waco, Texas.

Frances was a talented person who was a licensed beautician in Louisiana, a grocer, owned her own laundromat in Queen City, and an incredible seamstress. She taught herself to upholster furniture and became quite accomplished at that, as well as doing clothing alterations for the public. She overcame every obstacle she ever encountered before she broke her hip.

She studied her Bible every day, reading from cover to cover many times, even when a magnifying glass became necessary.

Services will be at Walnut Hill Baptist Church, at 2 pm Friday, and due to corona virus, the family visitation will be after the service. The Rev. Austin Eakin will be officiating.
