Suddenly, while watching the animals, he collapsed, a victim of apoplexy, and Death claimed him forthwith.
Surviving are his widow and several grown children, one of whom is J. E. Sanders, a well known farmer of West Liberty.
The decedent was a retired business man, having conducted a grist mill in olden days.
Mr. Sanders was a respected pioneer of Johnson county, living near Lone Tree for about 40 years.
