Our beloved mother, Nannie, and friend has gone home to be with our Father God. Brenda "Jane" Sims beautiful, wonderful, and loving soul left this world to live eternally in heaven on October 18, 2020 at the age of 80. She passed away peacefully at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Texas surrounded by family.

Jane is survived by her children: sons; William "Buddy" Loren, John Loren and his wife Stephanie, and daughters; Cathy McKay and her husband Russell, Brenda Arce and her husband Bill, and stepdaughter Kim Greene and her husband Berl; seventeen beautiful grandkids and numerous, wonderful great-grandkids. Stepmother; Virginia Henson, brothers; Victor Henson and his wife Elizabeth, Michael Huskey and his wife Freida, and sisters; Kathy Ward and Cristyn Baker.

Jane is preceded in death by husband, Vernon Sims, daughters Vernonda Sims and Mary Vaughn, parents Eunice Huskey and TV Henson, and grandson Russell "Rusty" McKay Jr.

Jane lived a beautiful and adventurous life. Her highest accomplishment, besides family, was getting her LVN nursing degree. She had the kindest and most caring heart. Her favorite vacation spot was spending time at Fun Valley RV Park in Colorado with her husband Vernon. If she wasn't traveling, she was spending time with family and friends. Holidays were her absolute favorite. She loved being surrounded by family, playing white elephant at Christmas, and watching the grandkids play around the house. Can't forget about her best friend Cody the cat who will miss her dearly.

Family and friends are encouraged to gather for a time of visitation, Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 3 to 5 o'clock in the afternoon at Lynch Funeral Home in Greenville, TX.

Services celebrating Jane's life will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 at 10 o'clock in the morning at Lynch Funeral Home, followed by her burial at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, TX at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

Due to current circumstances, flowers are not allowed at DFW cemetery. Instead, the family is requesting donations be made in lieu of flowers to her favorite charities Wound Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
