Daughter of Alma Clifton & Julia (TUCKER) LEWIS, who married in 18 JUL 1888 in Muscogee County, GA. Gena died at the residence of Mr. J. H. TUCKER in Girard, Alabama.

Burial entry in the sexton's ledger books shows: Gena LEWIS was born in Georgia, and died aged 10 months of cholera infantum. Buried 03 JUN 1890 in Lot 7 "vault" [a section should be specified here -- not clear why "vault" appears here. This lot is in city Section D.] A resident of Columbus, GA. The sexton was Abraham ODOM.

This grave is evidently not identifiably marked. Others reported to be in city D-7 include: Aretmus LEWIS, buried 01 OCT 1884 (aged 67 years); Julia (TUCKER) LEWIS, buried 05 DEC 1897 (aged 29 years); Paul P. LEWIS, buried 07 JUL 1905 (aged 21 years); Maggie S. LEWIS, buried 30 OCT 1917 (aged 75 years); Emma LEWIS, buried 03 APR 1918 (aged 45 years); Alma Clifton LEWIS, buried 31 DEC 1931 (aged 62 years); and Ernest Emerson LEWIS, buried 15 DEC 1933 (aged 56 years). The only one of these with an inscribed marker is Artemus LEWIS, in Lot 241 of Section J in Dolores Autry's "Historic Linwood Cemetery" book (edited by Lea Dowd et al.), Volume 3.
