He was born December 3, 1924 in Ross County, Ohio to the late Hiram Montgomery and Mary Ann(Montgomery)Wilson. His first wife the former Mary Bell Carney, preceded him in death November 25 of 1959. They had one child, Lauralee Montgomery. On April 10,1961 he married the former Carola M. Seitz who survives along with a daughter Lauralee. Pete worked 43 years for the Mead Corporation beginning in 1946 and retiring in 1989. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater, aboard the USS Miller. He was a member of the American Legion Post 62, AMVETS Post 4 and VFW Post 108.
