In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Stephen B. Bennett of Damascus; Clifford E. Bennett, and wife Pam, of Palm Harbor, Florida; and Cynthia B. Sadtler, and husband Robert, of Monrovia, Maryland. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Keith Bennett, Jill McAlister, Angela Dodson, Kelly Moore, and Amanda Stick as well as 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Bradley M. Woodfield, Jr. and Henry Howard Woodfield.
Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. A graduate of Damascus High School and Madison College in Harrisonburg, Virginia, she worked alongside her husband at their insurance agency in Damascus for many years.
Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, crocheting, knitting, travelling, and reading. She attended Bethesda United Methodist Church and Damascus United Methodist Church, both in Damascus. Carolyn was kind and considerate and built lasting relationships with many. She will be truly missed.
A memorial service with be held in her honor at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 11900 Bethesda Church Road, Damascus, MD on Wednesday, May 9th - Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 am, with a memorial service beginning at 11:00, followed by a luncheon.
