This memorial is based on Somerset County, Maryland cemetery records. There's a conflict with the birth dates. Ruth T. Dryden's book lists, Sarah Handy 14 Mar 1822–Jun 1851, but Woodrow T. Wilson's St. Paul's and Trinity cemetery records list Sarah Handy 1830–1851. An 1850 U.S. census record for Sarah Handy places her date of birth as 1771.

Also names son John T. Handy, Isaac C. Handy and daughter Mary C. Handy. Witnesses, William Williams, Isaac Williams and Adeline Williams.
