Doris Nadine (Smith) Buce, 85, passed away Monday November 9,2020 at her home in Deepwater, Missouri surrounded by her family. A celebration of life will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home Clinton, Missouri. The family suggest contributions to the Deepwater Fire and First Responders in lieu of flowers and may be left at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home.

Doris was born in Altoona, Kansas. Doris worked for the Old Wetzel Clinic and then when it became Golden Valley. She worked there until she retired after over 30 years. She also worked for Truman Lake Manor for a few years. Most recently she spent her free time volunteering at the Samaritan Center until her health no longer allowed her to do so. Her biggest job that she enjoyed the most was being a caretaker for her family. She would do anything that she possibly could for her family. She also enjoyed making sock monkeys.

Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence Buce; her parents, Clint and Kate Smith; her siblings, Robert Smith, Marvin Smith, Ray Smith and Helen Sapp. Doris is survived by two sons Mike E. Buce of Madison, Kansas and Carl A. Buce of Deepwater, Missouri and one daughter Peggy L. (Buce) Hill and spouse Gaylyn of Kellyville, Oklahoma; one brother Don Smith of Raytown, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home Clinton.
