It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rodney J. Bellon announces his passing on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the age of 84. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm at the St Augustine Catholic Church on Monday, November 16, 2020.
Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis, Celebrant.
Rodney led a simple life that he enjoyed. He liked to hunt and camp, but loved to go fishing and play cards. In his younger years, he enjoyed raising cattle. Rodney’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his wife of 63 years, Geneva Bellon of Basile; sons, Randy Bellon and wife, Susan of Elton, and Gary Bellon and wife, Veronica of Oberlin; five grandchildren, Jacob Bellon, Jenay Rodriguez, Lacey Manuel, Callie Bellon, and R.J. Bellon; four great grandchildren, Karlie Rodriguez, Jason Rodriguez, Ann Marie Manuel, and Brock Manuel; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alexie and Rena (Richard) Bellon; grandson, Jason Bellon; and siblings, Milton Bellon, Anna Aucoin, and Hazel Aucoin.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020 from 10:00 am until time of services. Father Hampton Davis will recite a Rosary at 1:00 pm Monday.
