Ann Marie (Tatum) Meakins

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ann Meakins, predeceased by husband Bill who sadly passed just a few months ago on July 29, 2017, parents Roscoe & Mary Tatum, & sisters Margaret Mason & Mary Hunter.
Left behind are children Jane Riddell (David), Kathie Byford (Bill), Will Meakins, Jeff Meakins, & Robert Meakins (Camilla Willings), as well as grandchildren Rob Hughes (Ghazaleh Afshari), Jessica Hughes (Quoc Mai), Sarah Riddell, Kristen Oates, Kevin Oates (Breanne Longland), Will Meakins ( Shareena Moorsaleen), & Finn & Nate Meakins & great-grandchildren Owen Oates & Jackson, Cole & Isabella Longland-Oates. Also fondly remembered by her nieces & nephews.
Ann was a devoted mother & grandmother who loved to travel, plan parties, dine on good food, & participate in family Scrabble games. She will also be missed by her many friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Kathryn Swan & the staff at Joseph Brant Hospital, as well as the compassionate care by the staff at CAMA Woodlands.
There will be a Celebration of Life for both Ann & Bill at
BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington, on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. Private family interment will follow at Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
