Agustin Ferreiro, 72, of Lakewood Ranch, Fl went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 21st, 2020. He died suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack, leaving a huge void in the hearts of his close family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was like their "guardian angel", always watching over them.

Agustin was a dedicated and well respected Cardiologist and Internist who served his community of Bradenton, FL for 40 years. He was also a caring family man who deeply loved his wife, Nora of 47 years; his daughters Andrea and Carina; and his 6 grandchildren.

On the outside he appeared quiet and reserved but at home he was a warm, kind-hearted, encouraging, and generous man. Agustin made it his life mission to make sure everyone in his family was always happy, well cared for, and if there ever was a problem he would not rest until he could somehow "fix" it or make it better.

Agustin Ferreiro was born in Montevideo, Uruguay on July 24th, 1947 to his parents Agustin Ferreiro and Amalia Vizoso de Ferreiro. His great grandparents were immigrants from Piedmont, Italy. He always looked up to his father, who was a well known educator and scholar in Montevideo, and several elementary schools still bear his name.

Agustin attended Medical School at the the University of Uruguay where he graduated in 1972 at age 25. A year later he married his sweetheart, Nora Schaffner on December 6th, 1973. In June of 1974, with just 2 suitcases they moved to the United States where Agustin completed his internship at St. Josephs Medical Center and later finished his residency in Cardiology at Martland General Hospital in Newark, NJ.

After completing his Fellowship in 1978 Agustin and Nora decided to settle down and move to Bradenton, Florida, where he established his medical practice and they raised their daughters. Agustin was a gifted and dedicated physician, well respected and loved by his patients and colleagues.

He retired at age 70. Agustin enjoyed learning and studying a wide variety of topics including religion, education, medicine, history and finances. He also enjoyed listening to music and watching movies. He was inspired by nature and enjoyed visiting interesting places with his wife including parts of Europe, Argentina, Israel, the U.S. and Canada.

He is survived by his wife, Nora; daughters Andrea Rodman and Carina Sanders; their husbands Jim Rodman, and Jimmy Sanders; and 6 grandchildren: Isabella, Luke, William, Andrew, Christian and Ethan. He will be dearly missed by his family who is forever grateful for the amazing legacy he left. They eagerly look forward to the day when they will get to hug him again in Heaven.

Agustin Ferreiro Funeral Service will follow Visitation at 6pm, due to Covid 19 the service will be privet. The family would like to invite you to view the service live on Facebook. please go to https://www.facebook.com/RobertToaleAndSons/ to view service live.
