ALPINE -- Roberta Carter Shortt, 83, a retired registered nurse, died Wednesday, May 20, 1998, at Memorial Hospital in Midland after a short illness.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Elm Grove cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
She was born in Roseland, Va. She was Presbyterian.
Survivors: Daughter, Lee Nitcholas of Carrollton; son, Thomas V. Shortt of Brewster County; sisters, Virginia Stratton, Hardenia Ann Carter Lincoln and Burnley Harvey, all of Nelson County, Va.; brother, Thomas Carter of Lynchburg, Va.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
