Married to Vicy Ann Ellis - b.1765, SC, in 1783, children Mary - b.1790, Robert - b.1793, Eleanor 'Nellie' - b.1795, Elizabeth - b.1801, Charles, Jr. - b.1802, Vicy - b.1803 and Patience - b.1805. Vicy Ann died in Barnwell Co, SC in 1824 and Charles married Rebecca Lane - b.1805, SC, in 1825 and they had two children, Bryant - b.1825 and Margaret 'Peggy' - b.1827. He owned 850 acres of land along the Altamaha River, near present day Gardi, in Appling/Wayne counties and 481 head of cattle at the time of his death. He was a Revolutionary War soldier, having served in the SC militia, Barnett's Company "D", Hampton's Regiment, Sumter's Brigade.
