John Wilmer Fisher Harter was the youngest son of Rev. Elmer Ellsworth and Bertha Mae Williams (Sparks) Harter, Sr. He was the beloved younger brother of Mary Emma (Harter) Miller. He was the husband of Cleva B. (Quackenbush) Harter. They lived 52 Fawn Ave., Salamanca, New York. Cleva died October 1971. He served during World War I - 109th Field Artillery, Battery E, 1917-1918
