David Sanchez, 73, of Lone Jack, Missouri, was born, November 9, 1947, in Rockdale, Texas, the son of Blas and Sara (Martinez) Sanchez, Sr. He departed this life, Tuesday November 24, 2020, at the Research Medical Center, Kansas City.

David was a 1967 graduate of the E.L. Furr Junior-Senior High School in Houston, Texas.

He was a proud United States Air Force Vietnam War veteran.

On September 23, 1972, he was united in marriage to Gracie Alice Robertson in Galena Park, Texas.

David spent his entire working career with the Reynolds Metals Corporation. He was a member of the Open Range Fellowship church in Lone Jack and the Christian Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.

David was preceded in death by his mother Sara Sanchez, and one brother, Blas Sanchez, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Gracie and grandson Kadyn Sanchez of the home; one son David Sanchez II, of Houston; one daughter, Miranda Ann (and Roland) Sanchez-Avalos of Baytown, Texas; seven grandchildren, David Sanchez III, Amethyst Jailyn Sanchez, Angelic Dionne Sanchez, Kadyn Patrick Sanchez, Edward Sanchez, Amirand Avalos, and Noah Sanchez; four great grandchildren, Vanessa Vasquez, David Sanchez IV, Allesio Sanchez, and one on the way; his father, Blas Sanchez, Sr. of Houston; three brothers, Daniel Sanchez of Mesa, Arizona, Adam Sanchez of Conroe, Texas, and Ray (and Faye) Sanchez of Mont Belvieu, Texas; two sisters, Sally Traweek of Flatonia, Texas, and Julie Sanchez of Mont Belvieu; other relatives and a host of many friends.

Cremation has been accorded. A motorcycle rally and run will be held in his honor at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the "Run for the Son" CMA Motorcycle Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
