Mrs. Minnie Price Lucas, 92, of Royal Manor Inn Nursing Home, Nicholasville, died Thursday.

She was born May 21, 1887 in Owsley County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Judge Isaac Price and Mildred Kidd Price, of Levi, Kentucky. Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel P. Lucas in 1934, also two daughters, Dortha Lucas and Prescova Sparks.

Mrs. Lucas was a very active member of Ashland Avenue Baptist Church, Lexington for over twenty years. She was a Sunday School teacher and her entire life was devoted to her love of God and her devotion to her children and grandchildren with whom she has left many happy memories. Later in life she moved her membership to Southern Heights Baptist Church in Lexington.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Prescova Hogg, of Booneville; two brothers, Finley Price of Littleton, North Carolina, Clayton Price, of Levi; one daughter, Mrs. Matilda Ross Tennyhill, of Lexington; three sons, Donald M. Lucas, of Lancaster, William I. Lucas, and Raymond P. Lucas, both of Lexington; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Services 1 p.m. Saturday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Burdon and the Rev. Carl Saddler officiating. Burial in Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Garrard County. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today.
