Mary (Achtziger) Miller, 91, of Glendale, Az., passed away on October 2, 2007, with family members at her side. She was born February 19, 1916 in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska to the late Henry and Amelia (France) Achtziger, and married Henry Miller, Sr. May 4, 1933, in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. Mary worked very hard as a homemaker, Mother, employee of West Bend Aluminum Company, cook at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Bend, Wisconsin, on the farm in Vale, South Dakota, and at a day care center in Glendale, Az. She loved working in her garden with flowers and vegetables and had the outstanding ability to make anything grow. She attended Manzanita Senior Center where she enjoyed visiting with her friends. Mary was one of those special people who was always ready to help others. Survivors include her daughter-in-law; Pat Miller of West Bend, Wisconsin, son; Leslie (Peggy) Miller of Boone, Iowa, daughter; Gloria Jean (Norman) Wetz of Glendale, Arizona, 10 grandchildren; Randy (Laura) Miller, Sue (John) Volkert, David (Colleen) Miller, Mike Miller, Cherry (Steve) Cannavo, Lisa (Paul) Shanovich, Scott Miller, Symantha Anderson, Dave (Sara) Miller, and Jesse Wetz, 23 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren. She is further survived by one brother, Alex Achtziger, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Miller, Sr., five sisters; Pauline Greenwalt, Emma Niesent, Emily McMahon, Bertha Achtziger, Otelia Dahlinger, and her son; Henry Miller, Jr. Funeral Services will be Sunday October 7, 2007, 1:00 PM with a Viewing beginning at Noon at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N 59th Avenue, Glendale, Az.
