ADA WOOD, 87, of Huntington, stepped over into Heaven on Monday, May 25, 2015, the Lord put his arms around her and said welcome home my good and faithful servant. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Ronnie Adams. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Wayne County, W.Va. She was born January 21, 1928 in Wayne County, W.Va. A daughter of the late Fred and Laura Pack Robinson. She was a former employee of the Huntington Store and Heck's Department Store. She was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years, where she taught Sunday school class, where she had a great love for the children, sang in the choir and performed other functions of the church for a number of years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Alvie Robinson; four sisters, Oakie Belle Stephenson, Romaine Stephenson, Virgie Watkins and Lillian Enix. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, James M. Wood; a sister Anna Lee Booth of Huntington and a special niece who she helped raise Debra Stanley of Huntington. Friends may call from noon till service time Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington.
