JULIAN BOWLING TAKEN BY DEATH

Julian L. Bowling, 55, 2001 Grand avenue, died at 1:05 a.m. today at the Daviess County hospital where he had been a patient for five days. He had been in failing health for two years and in serious condition since entering the hospital.

He was the son of John W. and Cordelia (Patterson) Bowling, both deceased, and was born May 3, 1896 in Barr township. He attended the Montgomery schools and for the last nine years was employed with the Washington Democrat as a stereotyper. He was a member of St. Mary's church and the Eagles lodge.

Mr. Bowling's first wife, Pearl Marie Burkhardt died January 6, 1943 and on December 30, 1943 he married Ruby Snyder who survives.

In addition to his widow he leaves two brothers, Harry Bowling, Loogootee and George Bowling, Indianapolis and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Brewer, city and Mrs. T. Watkins, Santa Monica, California. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased.

Services will be held in St. Mary's church at 9 a.m. Thursday and burial will be held in St. John's cemetery. Friends may call at the Keller mortuary after 7 p.m. today. The Eagles lodge will hold services at 7 p.m. today in the mortuary.
