Guadalupe Reyes, 73 of Petersburg, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11 o ‘clock in the morning on Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Plainview Cemetery with Father Bill Anton, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, officiating. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’ clock in the evening on Wednesday at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Guadalupe was born on January 24, 1947 to Jose and Gomecinda Reyes in Casa Grande, AZ. He married San Juanita on March 22, 1971 in Plainview and they were happily married for many years until her passing on December 31, 2018. Guadalupe worked hard all his life as a farm hand to provide for his family; he loved them very much. He enjoyed gardening, playing guitar, and singing. Guadalupe was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Petersburg.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: San Juanita; and siblings: Juan Reyes, Josefina Garza, Margarita Benavidas, Maria Magdalena Guerrero, and Gomecinda Hinojosa.

Guadalupe is survived by one daughter: Juanita Reyes of Petersburg; two brothers: Ramon and Jose Reyes; four sisters: Maria Luis Guerrero, Concepcion Reyna, Terry Reyes and Jesusa Mares; two grandchildren: Lillian Hinojos and Jose Manuel Reyes and one great grandchild: Lailani Hinojos.
