Diane Roberts Kerr, age 86, of Elkhorn, WI formerly of Crandon, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn. Diane was born September 3, 1934 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of J. Gordon and Harriett (Wille) Roberts.
Diane married Larry L. Kerr on June 21, 1975 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2013.
Larry and Diane wanted to move to the Northwoods, so each weekend they would look for a business to buy. They really liked the Sunset Resort on Pine Lake, Hiles and later purchased the business.
Diane also worked for the Forest County Commission on Aging as a Benefit Specialist until her retirement.
She enjoyed gardening, watching and feeding the birds and crocheting.
Diane was fondly known as “Gracie” by her friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Anna Maria Virga, Chicago; son, Charles P. (Ronnie) Virga, Pingree Grove, IL; granddaughter, Deanna and great grandson, Adrian; step-children, Candy (Kerr) West, Lee (Deb) Kerr and Randy (Sue) Kerr. Further survived by longtime friends, Donna and Pat.
In addition to her husband, Larry she is also preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Crandon. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Dewing officiating.
