Little Faye was the second child born to Jodie and Minnie Vanderburg. At the early age of five, she was a victim of the epidemic called "infantile paralysis". She survived the disease, but was left with a slight limp. On her first year of school as she was walking she fell and sustained a head injury. She only lived for a few days afterwards. Her burial was the first in the Oklahoma Vanderburg family.
