LON JOSEPH HARRAND, age 67 of Stephenson, MI, passed into the Great River while fishing at Shakey Lakes, on December 17, 2020. He was born on August 22, 1953 in Norfolk, VA to Ronald and Margaret Harrand.
Ron and Peggy raised him on the Menominee River in Porterfield, Marinette County, WI. Lon was a 1971 graduate of Marinette High School.
After work for several industries, he settled into Enstrom Helicopter until hired at Hose Coupling in 1984. Lon stayed with the company as it became Anchor Coupling-Caterpillar. He retired in 2014.
Lon was a life member of the NRA and the Escanaba River Association.
He loved music and reading. Lon spent his time at camp-hunting and fishing and teaching his grandkids about the outdoors and other fun stuff.
He married Eileen Kruhmin in 1980 on March 1st because there was no football, basketball, or good hunting/fishing around that time of year.
Lon is survived by his wife Eileen of Stephenson, MI;
son Jesse (Kelly) and children: Ayla and Maverick of Iron Mountain, MI;
daughter Natalie (Sam) Winkler and children: Finn, Liam and Owen of Wallace, MI;
and daughter Leah Harrand of Franklin, WI;
sister Debbie (Steve) Nikolas of North Prairie, WI;
aunt Sheila (Larry) Poisson of Idaho;
very special uncle Robert (Cubby) Couvillion of Peshtigo, WI;
and a very special cousin/fishing buddy Kevin King of Peshtigo, WI;
along with many other relatives, friends and neighbors.
