Musician, Composer. Ernesto Elorduy Medina was a Mexican pianist and composer, one of the most important of the late Mexican Romantic period. He composed a large number of pieces for solo piano and was considered the main Mexican composer of Mazurcas, but he also wrote works for song and piano, choral and symphonic pieces, and an opera, "Zulema," and whose orchestration is also due to the Mexican Ricardo Castro. Many of Elorduy's works were published by the most important Mexican publishing houses of the time: H. Nagel y Sucs., Wagner y Levien, and Otto y Arzoz.
