Mrs. Herman (Bertha) Krause, 79, 409 S. Webster St., Green Bay, died Saturday June 7, 1986, in a local nursing home. She was born Nov. 6, 1906, in La Crosse to the late Mr. and Mrs. Noel Levinstein. She married Abe Shapiro in 1947 and he died in 1958. She then married Herman Krause in 1964 in Minneapolis.
Mrs. Krause was a member of Cnesses Israel Congregation. She was a life member of Hadassah, B'nai B'rith Women and Sisterhood.
She is survived by her husband, Herman; one daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Corine (Robert) Cohen of Madison; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, David Levinstein of LaCrosse; and three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Marks of San Francisco, Mrs. Sue Ruebl and Mrs. Debbi Cohen, both of Minneapolis.
Funeral services were held with Rabbi Robert Schectman officiating. Burial was in Moses Montefiore Cemetery, Appleton, Wis.
