Dale Dean Alderman was born March 1, 1931, to parents Ted and Ester Alderman in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dale passed away peacefully at the Parkridge Specialty Care in Pleasant Hill, Iowa, at age 89 on December 19, 2020.

Dale’s wife of 70 years was his entire world, they will be reunited finally, which Dale always talked about this special day.

His second greatest joy were his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Dale loved fishing, listening to Johnny Cash, and watching old Westerns.

He was a very active member of the East Side Community Center where he met many new friends and looked forward to going daily.

Dale worked as a construction worker and a heavy machine operator for many years.

Dale had a contagious smile and was always teasing someone. When he hugged you so tight, you thought he might break ya. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Gary (Tami), Ted (Karen), Penny (Arnold), Rose (Jack), Randy (Cindy) and Michael; brother Glen; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family; and sister-in-law Jean.

Dale is preceded in death by his loving wife Phyllis; parents Ted and Esther Alderman; sons, Dale Jr. and Jerry; brother Gene; and his loving grandmother Jamima and Grandfather Cam.
