Sharlet Cheek, age 66, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020, at Saint Joseph Hospital, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Estill County, Kentucky, on February 2, 1954, to the late Manual Durbin and Bertha Sparks Stephens.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Sumner and Janice Warmouth. She is survived by: her husband, Jackie Cheek; two sons, Rodney Cheek and Jeremy Cheek; two brothers, Gregory Stephens and Billy Durbin; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service and burial will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26, at Longview Cemetery, W. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26, at Ware Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Cowboy Church, 125 Oriole Street, Carlisle, Kentucky 40311.
