Pourciau, Richard Joseph

A native and resident of Livonia, he passed away at 4 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at his home. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and also an avid fan of LSU football. He retired from the LSU painting department as a supervisor after 20 years. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 64 years, Marie Porche Pourciau; two daughters, Elaine Landry and Linda Cicero; son-in-law, Ralph Cicero, whom he took as a son; two grandchildren, Tammy Cicero and Lance Cicero and his wife, Laura; and two great-grandchildren, Brooke Miller and Matthew Cicero. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Olivia Pourciau; brothers, Adam Sr., Clarence, Ernest and Milton Pourciau; three sisters, Ethel Allen, Maggie Johnson and Abby Bergeron; and son-in-law, Marshall Landry. Pallbearers will be Ralph Cicero, Lance Cicero, Brad Joffrion, Lanny Cicero, Tim LeBlanc and Carlton Bergeron. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Johnson and Calvin Pourciau. Special thanks to Dr. Louis Montelaro and Dr. Gerald Miletello. Visiting at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Livonia, on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 8 a.m. until service at noon. Interment in the church cemetery. Niland's Funeral Home in Livonia is in charge of arrangements.
