POURCIAU, MILTON JOSEPH

A retired Exxon carpenter and resident and native of Livonia, he died at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 79. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, Livonia, 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. David Allen. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by wife, Alvis Pourciau, Livonia; two daughters and a son-in-law, Loyce and Allen Webre, Livonia, and Rilda Chustz, Port Allen; a son and daughter-in-law, Autry and Mary Pourciau, Plains; a brother, Richard Pourciau, Livonia; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Olivia Pourciau; three brothers, Adam Sr., Clarence and Earnest Pourciau; and three sisters, Ethel Allen, Maggie Johnson and Abby Bergeron. He was a member of Livonia Lions Club and Knights of Columbus, New Roads.
