Death of John Marum
Local Resident Passes Away at Faribault After an Extended Illness
Word was received here this week announcing the death of John Marum, son of Mr. and Mrs. O.J. Marum of this place, which occurred at Faribault, Monday, September 28. The end came after an illness extending over a period of several years. Over three years ago, he was taken to the hospital at Faribault, where he has since been confined. At the time of his death, he was 29 years and 5 months of age. He was not married. The remains were brought to this city yesterday morning and taken to the undertaking parlors of T.N.J. Reese. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereft family in their sorrow.
He was born April 15, 1885 in Minnesota to father Ole Marum, mother unknown. He died September 28, 1914 at the MN School for Feeble-Minded and Colony for Epileptics in Faribault (Rice County), Minnesota. He was buried at McIntosh.
