Alex Paraskevas passed away Saturday September 27, 2008, suddenly and unexpectedly. Alex leaves behind his wife Dimitra and two sons, Perry and Billy from his first marriage to Tasia Paraskevas; also his two daughters-in-law Valerie and Angeline along with three granddaughters Constance, Vicky and Kathryn. He also leaves behind brothers and sisters from Greece, Australia and Virginia. Other survivors included many nieces and nephews and godchildren. Alex was a local contractor and carpenter who loved his work. Alex was very proud of his heritage and his family. Alex was born in Samos, Greece on January 27, 1937, and moved to California in 1961, and remained here for the rest of his life. Friends are invited to visit Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. The Trisagion will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be held on Friday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church in Stockton. Committal will immediately follow at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi.
