It is with much sadness to announce the passing of John 'Barney' Menard. He was born on September 5, 1954 to the late Eli John & Dorothy (Goldstone) Menard. He was 66 years old.

John attended Menominee Schools, but growing up his true passion was music. A well known and beloved drummer, he got his start by banging on his Mothers pots and pans at the age of four. John played drums in many bands including Whistle Gear and Rocker.
His knowledge of music, songs and bands was remarkable down to the smallest details. He was a gift to all who knew him and brought joy thru his music.

John worked for Domino's Pizza for many years and also for M&M Taxi. If you were lucky to have Barney deliver your pizza or ride in his taxi you would be sure to be greeted with a smile and a "How ya doin'?" He called everyone honey.

John will be sadly missed by his siblings: Jim (Lanie) Menard, Paul Menard, Pat (Peter) Vermette, his twin sister Sally (Ken) Kirt;
his sister-in-law Donna Menard
and many nieces and nephews.
As well as many friends and former band members.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gerald Menard and his sister Jean Pleshek.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A Memorial fund has been established.
Rock on our sweet and kind Barney!
