Gaylord Alfred Coffell, age 76, of Farwell (Clare County), Michigan, passed away on August 30, 1996, at his home.

He was born on November 5, 1919, in Farwell (Clare County), Michigan, the son of Roy and Leora (Blakely) Coffell. He married Elsie Orvis on February 22, 1945.

Mr. Coffell was a member of the Sparta Esterline Post #3019 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Farwell, Michigan, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Funeral services were held on September 3, 1996, at the Coker Funeral Home of Farwell, Michigan, with Steven Adamson officiating and interment was in the Surrey Township Cemetery, in Farwell (Clare County), Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie; one son, Randy (Barb) Coffell, of Farwell (Clare County), Michigan; four brothers, Gerald and Bernard, both of Weidman, Michigan, Bonnie, of Muskegon, Michigan and Owen, of Halton, Michigan; five sisters, Ida Spooner, of Alma (Gratiot County), Michigan, Lilis Thornton and Lula Ricker, of Florida, Norma Phelps, of Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County), Michigan and Audrey Gaskill, of Farwell (Clare County), Michigan and three grandchildren.
