Pastor Agnes F. Ceaser was born on the 11th day of February, 1934.
She passed on the 29th day of December, 2020.
Pastor Agnes Frank Ceaser’s life began February 11th 1934 in Mamou, Louisiana. She departed this life to receive her crown as a good and faithful servant on December 29th, 2020.
Pastor Ceaser was the daughter of Joseph and Laura Victorian Frank.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Minister John B. Ceaser in 1955. Through this union, ten children were born; Albert Ceaser of Vinton, LA, Eva Ceaser Cotton of California, Wilbert Ceaser of Vinton, LA, Vicki Clophus (Pastor Thomas) of Sulphur, LA, Tommy Ceaser (Bettye) of Sulphur, LA, Minister Elroy Ceaser (Robin) of Vinton, LA, Troy Ceaser (Denise) of Vinton, LA, Norris Ceaser (Danielle) of Carencro, LA, Doris Ceaser, of Orange, TX and a grandson raised as a son, Troy Ceaser, Jr. of Vinton, LA.
Pastor Ceaser was called by God in 1988 to serve as Lead Pastor of House of Prayer Church in Vinton, LA., of which she and her husband founded. She faithfully and obediently walked in her calling, amid criticism and condemnation. She would often say, “if God had not told me to do this, I would not have become a Pastor.” However, she understood the importance of obedience and sacrificed her will to HIS. She believed in the power of prayer, often praying at all hours of the day and night for her family, her church members and beyond. In the early days of her ministry, long before establishing House of Prayer church, Pastor Ceaser would hold prayer meetings in any home she was invited to. God blessed her to see the answers to many of those prayers. She witnessed firsthand, many miracles that included healings, deliverances, transformed lives and restoration of broken relationships. Her frequently repeated declarations of “let the talkers talk on”, “tough times never last, but tough people do,” as well as other sayings, inspired numerous people.
Pastor Ceaser lived what she taught. Her life was a living example of her often quoted Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32, “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
She promoted the importance of having a relationship with Jesus Christ and maintaining that relationship through prayer. Her greatest desire was in line with God’s greatest desire; that all would come to know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior through the repentance of their sins. Pastor Ceaser’s appeal to all who knew her is that her legacy of love and prayer be transferred to you.
Pastor Ceaser leaves to cherish her memories, her ten children, 28 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, plus her three sisters, Everta Benoit of Orange TX, Hazel Thomas (Leo) of Elton, LA, Lovenia Fontenot of Basile, LA and her brother Nalis Frank of Cheek, TX. She also leaves to cherish her memories a multitude of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved deeply.
Along with her husband, parents and several siblings, she was also preceded in death by one grandson, Joshua Ceaser.
