Her older sister Julia Augusta Taylor married Asbury Trafton in 1858 and died in 1865. They had two daughters, Flora (1859-1908) and Alice (1865-1960). Abbie married Asbury in 1866 and they had three children: Julia, Gilbert Haven, and Grace M.

Julia was b. August 24, 1832 and d. October 14, 1865. She is buried in the Taylor family cemetery in Kennebunk (Memorial ID 83038302)
