Obituary for Sr. Rosanne Sanders Born to Eternal Life April 19, 2018, age 99. Survived by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, with whom she shared life for 80 years; a sister, Rosanna Steffensmeier, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to join the Congregation on Tuesday, April 24, at St. Francis Convent, 3221 S. Lake Dr., Saint Francis WI 53235, for Welcoming of the Body and Morning Prayer at 9 AM, followed by Visitation. A Time of Remembering will be held at 10:10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.
Sister Rosanne served at St. Coletta of Wisconsin in Jefferson, 1973-1974, 1979-1989, and Cardinal Stritch University, 1974-1979.

These additional snippets of information were taken from a November, 2017 campaign etter that Sr. Rosanne wrote asking for donations to build a new mother house:
"I joined the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi
in 1937."
"We have had a long history of service since 1849,
when six women came to what would become our
21-acre motherhouse campus in St. Francis, Wisconsin.
They came from their homes in Bavaria to minister
to the German people in Milwaukee. Their ministries
included the care of orphaned children, meeting the
needs of the seminarians,
and education at a
variety of levels.
I remember with great
fondness my ministry in Jefferson
with the children at St. Coletta of
Wisconsin, my work in various
parishes, my ministry within the
residences of several Archbishops
and at St. Francis Seminary, as
well as my service to young adults
at Cardinal Stritch University and
in the formation of young women
entering our congregation."
