Obituary taken from The Ithaca Journal, Friday, May 7, 1965: McLean - Harold M. Adams, 45, of Salt Rd. died unexpectedly Thursday, May 6, 1965 in the Cortland Memorial Hospital. A lifelong area resident, he was born March 11, 1920, at Cortland, the son of Merton and Florence Metcalf Adams. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Warner Adams; two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Andrew of Binghamton and Miss Karen Adams at home; three sons, Calvin Adams of Binghamton and Harold Adams Jr. and Charles Adams, both at home; one granddaughter; his mother, Florence Dison of Groton; six brothers, Herbert and Harry Adams of Freeville, Howard Adams of Groton, Horace Adams of Trumansburg, Henry Adams of McGraw and Harmond Adams with the U.S. Army in Vietnam; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Beckwith of Groton; one uncle and aunt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Booth Company Funeral Home, Groton. The Rev. J. Rood, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Groton will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends may call at the Adams home Saturday and Sunday at their convenience.
