Jean Barbara Johnson was born in Rockford to Gunnard & Ethel (Kerrison) Johnson, April 14, 1926. She died at 7:45 p. m. Friday, Dec. 31, 1993, in Swedish-American Hospital. She married Thorston H. Holm in Rockford on March 1, 1959.
She was a former secretary for the State of Illinois. Jean was a charter member of Alpine Lutheran Church. Thorston died Nov. 20, 1995 and is interred next to his wife, Jean. Survivors are brothers, Keith (Cynthia) Johnson, David (Margaret) Johnson & Darwin (Mary Ann) Johnson & sisters, Joan (Willard) Erickson, & Beverly (Kenneth) Larson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Patricia Ann Johnson, and brothers, Donald L, Robert E. & Raymond L. Johnson.
Jean did not have children but was like a mother to her younger siblings and nieces.
