Daughter of the composer Leoš Janáček and Zdeňka Schulzová. In 1890 she and her younger brother Vladimír suffered scarlet fever, the boy died and the girl survived, but her health went worse. Olga learned piano and languages. In 1902 she travelled to her uncle in St. Petersburg. She got typhus, she recovered, but her health went worse, than it ever was. In January 1903 Olga knew she will die and burned her diary. She asked her father to play her his new opera Její pastorkyňa, she knew she will never see it. Olga died peacefully on 26th February 1903 aged 20.
