Andrew Weems, 78, of 1139 Herman av., died at Akron City Hospital, after a short illness.
He is survived by his wife, Ella; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Lee, Mrs. Ruth Fort, Mrs. Dorothy Milliner, Mrs. Monnica Lacey, Mrs. Cathy McRae, all of Akron; brother, Booker Weems of Akron; ten grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 1 p.m. from the Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. H.B. Washington officiating. Burial Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the Turner Funeral Home, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
