Judith "Judy" W. Thomas, 84, of Salem, NH passed away on Monday evening, January 25, 2021, surrounded by her loving daughters.
She was born on June 15, 1936 to Jean (Overley) and Herbert Walden. She was raised and received her education in Plainfield, NJ. She married Robert "Bob" Thomas and shared 48 wonderful years of marriage together.
Judy and Bob made their home in Salem, NH, where Judy has lived for 65 years. Her home and yard were her "happy place" and she was passionate about her home's history and her beautiful gardens.
She was a wonderful mom, neighbor, and friend, who will be greatly missed.
Judy is survived by her two daughters, Caroline Thomas of Salem, NH and Jill Priestley and her husband Fred of Whitefield, NH; her brother, Richard Walden and his wife Sharon of Laconia, NH; and her favorite cousin or "FC", Diane Whelton and her husband Clark of New York City, NY.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Robert Thomas, who passed away in 2004 and her son, William "Bill" Thomas, who passed away in 1991.
There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant a beautiful perennial in her memory in hopes it will remind you of Judy and her "happy place".
